La Dolce Vita

MARKit and Design Made Trade

 MARKit@Fed Square is a showcase of art, craft and design located in Federation Square's beautiful, light-filled Atrium space. Focusing on decorative and illustrative design, MARKit will feature fashion, jewellery, stationery, homewares and collectables from Australia's best local designers. Created by designers as an outlet for the sophisticated Melbourne shopper, MARKit is an opportunity to speak directly with the creator, talk with them about their designs and purchase something beautiful.

Pink Rubies

We will be introducing some stunning red to pink graduated rubies in our new collection (as shown here) to compliment the gorgeous sapphires that have already been so popular. The rubies will be perfect for summer teamed with a flowing summer dress......all we need now is the sun!

New Sterling Silver Pendants

We have some beautiful new sterling silver pendants for the new season including a sweet hot air balloon and continuing with our vintage watch story, some original clock hands cast in sterling silver. All will be revealed at the Melbourne Lifeinstyle Exhibition in August.

Great Discovery in Notting Hill

Recent renovation work at London's Notting Hill Gate tube station has uncovered a fantastic collection of original 1950's advertising posters. The posters are in non-public areas and date from c1956 - 1959. Situated in an old lift passageway the posters were hidden when the station's lifts were removed and replaced by escalators. What a find!

Le Marché

We are off to Market tomorrow! - The inaugral Paris to Provence at the beautiful Abbotsford Convent in Melbourne.

 The event presents a large French inspired market with interactive stalls broken up into seven categories: food & wine, children, gifts & accessories, French books & magazines, travel & events, cosmetics and courses & classes. Visitors will be treated to free chocolate samples and wine and cheesesampling workshops while enjoying some of the best live French entertainment Melbourne has to offer, including performances from theMelbourne French Theatre and songs from the ‘La La La’ French choir. Mini French enthusiasts will love the face painting and French story time.

From Paris to Provence - inspirational France

A recent trip to France was the main inspiration for our new collection.

Paris - the light on ancient buildings, the juxtaposition of old and new, classic and quirky and the appreciation of  style and beauty. The rustic charm of the French countryside with it's stunning buildings, green fields and wild flowers provided the perfect contrast.

Grab yourself a little bit of your own French inspiration at the up and coming Paris to Provence expo at the beautiful and historic Abbotsford Convent in Melbourne on Saturday 29 May. Described as a Tour of France at the Convent the event will host over 50 exhibitors - French wine and food, homewares, gifts and clothes and lifestyle organisations will all on be show along with some French inspired Leoni & Vonk jewellery!
